JOHN LAWRENCE

John Lawrence Woodall began playing piano at age 5 and started writing music and playing guitar by age 10. He attended the Academy of guitar and the New South Wales Conservatory of music in Australia. 

John worked as an engineer at The Record Plant in Sausalito with legendary producer/engineer Jim Gaines, working with such greats as Santana, Heart, Starship, Pablo Cruise, Maurice Starr, Dan Fogelberg, Journey, Huey Lewis, and John Fogerty. In addition, John became a working musician in the Marin band Frontline, who opened for the Little River Band, Kenny Loggins, Hall and Oates, Little Feat, Seals and Croft, Peter Frampton, Toy Matinee, Steppenwolf, Michael McDonald, and many more.

In 1989 John formed Powerof2 Music which has scored over 600 episodes of television, commercials, and interactive games, and received the Excellence in Composition and Songwriting award from Yamaha Music USA, scored two Emmy award winning shows, and received gold awards for his work on children shows such as “Baru Bay” with Bob Weir of the Grateful Dead.
